Helloooooooo...Am I The First?

Am I really the first one here? Could be wrong. Blogger is being silly. Gee, and I thought that I was way out of the loop. How could I be first?

Ok, so I am part way along on a Moonlight Sonata shaw. I'll try to get a pic posted here tomorrow.

I also want to knit an elann shawl for a dear woman I know who is going through a rough time. Can anyone who is more familiar with these patterns recommend one for me?

I want to knit it in a cheery colorway -- hot yellows/oranges I'm thinking. And I'd like it to be a quickish and easy knit (as compared to Moonlight S). Maybe worsted weight or at lightest, DK.

Any suggestions??

I can't believe you've already started your shawl!!! I'm still trying to figure out yarn, then needles. At least I think I've got a pattern picked out -- Sun Ray -- just need to wait for DH to print it out for me. What are you knitting your Moonlight Sonata with?

Jayne: will you please post all your useful notes here for the Moonlight Sonata?

Well, I had started my Moonlight Sonata shawl back when the pattern first came out, and then it got put aside. Then when Lisa got this KAL up and running, I was already partway along.

Good idea, SK, I'll post about Moonlight Sonata, and that should answer your question too, Marie.

Okay, I've crossed the first hurdle and gotten a google account. I'm knitting SK's Luna Moth shawl in elann's Luna yarn (!) in green tea. This is going to be fun. I've knit a little of the pattern and I love it!

Jayne, Luna Moth and Sun Ray are similar in construction and both are very easy, especially by contrast to the MS.
