Just Getting Started and Loving It
I have just finished my second repeat and I am loving this pattern. The yarn, Elann's Luna in Green Tea, is a little tricky since it tends to split but I like the feel of the knitted fabric. I wonder how it's going to block. Maybe I should have done a swatch???
Looks beautiful so far! What a gorgeous color, Benne. I don't remember that green in Luna--I thought it was the Callista when I first saw it. What size needles are you using?
Thanks,Kelly. I'm using size US7 Options needles. The yarn is a little slick so if I were using a less slick needle, the gauge would probably be tighter. I wonder if Elann is going to bring Luna back. It's nice with the rayon mixed with the cotton, gives it some unexpected shine.
That is so pretty! The color is really nice; great choice! I'm just realizing in my knitting lately (still a noob, lol) that how pointy or how large the tip of the needle is, plus how slick or grabby the needle is, really really matters. PITA, it is, when I have a needle the right size but too slick, or right grabbiness but too blunt, etc. I don't have alot of needles yet!

Lovely color, and gorgeous looking so far. It is slowly transforming into a secret beauty. SK
i need to look at that yarn, I think the yellow available may make a nice Sunray?

I love the Green Tea colorway in any kind of yarn. You are doing so well! Luna (yarn) is too slickery for me but it makes a gorgeous fabric.
Wow, great looking start! How come mine looked like a mess? Everyone else's look just right!
'Gotta agree...the color and the pattern look perfect together!
What is this Luna yarn? I just went to Elann and couldn't find it. I guess they don't offer it anymore?
